The 1st to the 7th of June 2021 is Volunteers’ Week, which celebrates the enormous contribution that volunteers make to charities and good causes, all across the UK and beyond.
Needless to say, the past year has been challenging for people from all walks of life. Yet, throughout the global pandemic, volunteers have been working tirelessly to continue making a difference in their communities.
Many of our events at Bright Red rely on our incredible volunteers – including the Freeman Fun Run, Ride for Red, and the Zombie Blood Run. As well as organising and helping to run events, our dedicated volunteers also join in with bucket collections and tombolas to raise even more crucial funds. Like Bright Red, many charities simply couldn’t continue to operate without the generous donations of both time and money from their loyal volunteers.
This week is a chance for all of us here at Bright Red to say thank you to our fantastic volunteers for all of their hard work, and to recognise the difference that volunteers make to peoples’ lives.
