Woodland Memorial – Friday 11th & Saturday 12th December 2020

If you’re looking for a lasting memorial to your loved one, you may be interested in planting a Memory Tree. Each plant is dedicated to the memory of a loved one, while each one helps us to continue our vital work.

Bright Red have secured a site at Northumberlandia to have our own woodland memorial. We will have the opportunity for our supporters to have their own tree to plant or to purchase, a lasting memorial to celebrate a loved one, and a gift which will last for generations.

Planting a memorial tree for a loved one is a touching and everlasting way to remember their life acting as a tribute. Meanwhile, it often brings comfort in the idea that their memory lives on forever – as a Tree of Life.

On December 11th and 12th, we will have an event where the chosen trees can be planted by the family. A personalised hanging decoration will be given to hang on their tree when planted.

The chosen site can be visited at any time and has a perfect advantage spot from the top of Northumberlandia Lady of the North.

Celebrate your loved one’s life in a meaningful way that supports Bright Red so we can continue our important work helping patients, families and carers affected by Blood Cancer.

If you’re interested in purchasing a memory tree or planting one, you can make a reservation below.  The planting sessions will be on the 11th and 12th December. Time slots are from 8.15am to 3pm, and every 45 minutes. Each slot can have six people present from the same family or bubble for planting.

If you’re unable to attend a planting session, we can plant it on your behalf.

Financial workshops for blood cancer patients

Bright Red are delighted to be working with Newcastle Building Society to deliver a series of free financial education workshops for blood cancer patients.

Our host Ken Himes will be covering investments, pensions, mortgages, tax and estate planning. The free, relaxed and informal workshops are being held exclusively for blood cancer patients and their family members or carers. Places are limited and so we encourage early booking to avoid disappointed.

The first events are being held on the below dates:

2pm, 19th November – Newcastle Building Society Ashington Branch
10am, 5th December – Newcastle Building Society Gosforth Branch
10am, 22nd January – Newcastle Building Society Gateshead Branch
2pm, 27th February – Newcastle Building Society Carlisle Branch

To register please click on the above links, or to discuss further contact our team at [email protected].

With many thanks to Newcastle Building Society for their support in making these workshops possible.
