Woodland Memorial – Friday 11th & Saturday 12th December 2020

If you’re looking for a lasting memorial to your loved one, you may be interested in planting a Memory Tree. Each plant is dedicated to the memory of a loved one, while each one helps us to continue our vital work.

Bright Red have secured a site at Northumberlandia to have our own woodland memorial. We will have the opportunity for our supporters to have their own tree to plant or to purchase, a lasting memorial to celebrate a loved one, and a gift which will last for generations.

Planting a memorial tree for a loved one is a touching and everlasting way to remember their life acting as a tribute. Meanwhile, it often brings comfort in the idea that their memory lives on forever – as a Tree of Life.

On December 11th and 12th, we will have an event where the chosen trees can be planted by the family. A personalised hanging decoration will be given to hang on their tree when planted.

The chosen site can be visited at any time and has a perfect advantage spot from the top of Northumberlandia Lady of the North.

Celebrate your loved one’s life in a meaningful way that supports Bright Red so we can continue our important work helping patients, families and carers affected by Blood Cancer.

If you’re interested in purchasing a memory tree or planting one, you can make a reservation below.  The planting sessions will be on the 11th and 12th December. Time slots are from 8.15am to 3pm, and every 45 minutes. Each slot can have six people present from the same family or bubble for planting.

If you’re unable to attend a planting session, we can plant it on your behalf.

Woodland Memorial Disclaimer
When you purchase a tree you become a part of the Woodland Memorial Plot. As is expected, nature can sometimes be a little bit unpredictable. That’s why for every tree purchased you can be assured that more than one tree will be planted in the area and your memory will become a part of the memorial plot.

You are welcome to personalise a space in the woodland memorial but there are limitations and guidelines on how you can do this as to avoid interfering with the environment. It is essential that any personalised features are environmentally friendly, and bio-degradable. Please be aware that we have no control over who has access to the area. The general public, as well as animals, can disturb the decorations in the memorial plot. When considering decorations please consider durability as some decorations may be damaged by the elements. We are not responsible for potential the loss and/or damage to decorations within the memorial plot.

Bright Reds ultimate aim is to create woodland areas to benefit local communities as well as offering the chance to celebrate or commemorate a loved one by dedicating a tree. At the same time you will be contributing to the development and maintenance of beautiful woodland areas. Visiting these areas, being with nature and watching the forest develop and grow, can alleviate the pain caused whilst grieving for your loved one.

Thank you for your support. For more information on the vital work of Bright Red and how to donate please visit our website www.brightred.org.uk
