Other ways to donate

There are many other ways in which you can contribute to Bright Red, all of which are listed below.

Please make cheques payable to Bright Red and send to the below address:

Bright Red, Ward 33, NCCC, Freeman Hospital, Newcastle upon Tyne NE7 7DN.

We understand that sometimes it can take a while to collect sponsorship for events, however we encourage you to send cheques to us as soon as possible to ensure that we receive the donation.

If you have a cheque which has passed the 6 months date, then we would be grateful if the cheque could be cancelled and reissued.

In Memory

We’re incredibly grateful to those who support our charity in memory of family, friends and colleagues. Through supporting Bright Red you can remember a loved one and celebrate their life while helping continue our work to fight blood cancer.

For more information please visit our dedicated page here, or please get in touch to discuss further.

Gifts in wills

Leaving a gift in your Will can help us to continue the fight against blood cancer for a brighter future.

Gift Aid

To qualify for Gift Aid, you must pay an amount of UK Income and/or Capital Gains Tax, which is at least equal to the amount that we and all other charities and Community Amateur Sports Clubs (CASC’s) will reclaim on your donations in each tax year (6 April to 5 April). Gift Aid is claimed at 25p per £1 of your support. NB Taxes such as VAT and Council Tax do not qualify for Gift Aid.

In order for us to reclaim gift aid on your donations we will need your permission to do so. You can do this by completing the one off donation form and forwarding with your donation.

For further information please visit Gift Aid.

Payroll giving

Payroll Giving is a scheme that enables you to give to any UK charity straight from your gross salary (before tax is deducted), and to receive immediate tax relief of up to £4 for every £10 donated. It’s a really simple way to donate, providing your employer offers Payroll Giving. If you would like to set up Payroll Giving in your workplace please contact us.

If Payroll Giving is already set up where you work all you to do is complete a form, usually obtained from your Payroll or Personnel Department.

Your employer will forward your completed form to the PGA and deduct from your pre-tax salary the total amount you want to give. Your donation is forwarded monthly to the PGA and they then distribute the gift each month to the charity or charities of your choice.

Other ways to give
